I love a good race theme - especially when it matches up with a movie our family loves. Running the Space Jam: A New Legacy Virtual Run gave me some motivation to train and some nice swag that my boys wanted to steal from me.

Like previous virtual races I've reviewed, this experience is all about what YOU make it! With virtual racing, you have the opportunity to plan your own course, create your own playlist, and theme as much (or as little) as you prefer. If you follow my race reviews, you know I love to get into "character" - especially a cartoon character - to run. While it was a little harder to come up with a costume for this race than for my DC Superman Run a few weeks earlier, I took advantage of the Tune Squad sweatbands that came with my race kit to get in the race spirit.

I left the pup at home for this one and laced up my sneakers for an easy September 5K. I think September and October may be my favorite times of year to run. I'm a warm weather fan, but the intense heat and humidity of a Mid-Atlantic summer is gone. The sun was shining and it felt good to be out there - just me and the pavement.

One of my favorite things about the virtual events I've done recently is the quality of the swag and that it arrives quickly after registering, so you have your swag there for race day. When I finished my 5K, I was able to celebrate with this cool Tune Squad medal featuring Lebron James and friends.
