Why should I run a virtual race?

The DC Superman Run is a virtual race and virtual races have so many perks these days.  First off, let's talk about convenience.  Planned a race day and have bad weather pop up in the forecast?  You can move your race day!  For me, I woke up one morning and just felt like running my DC Superman Run - so I did (I'm saying that in my best Forrest Gump voice right now!).  There's no waking up in the pre-dawn hours to make your corral (here's looking at you runDisney), no stressing about where to park or race day traffic, and you can make your post-race celebration whatever you want from the comforts of you own home.

Virtual races have been EVERYWHERE since the COVID pandemic had such significant impacts on road races in 2020 and continuing in 2021.  While some races are moving back to in person in the second half of 2021, others are still going virtual.  If you have any nerves about racing in person right now, it's a great time to try a virtual race while having a good time and earning some sweet swag!
