Do you ever feel like you get incredibly lucky from time to time?  Well, one night back in December, I was participating in a Twitter chat and at the end of the chat found out I had won a pair of AfterShokz Aeropex headphones.  I was so excited!  For years, I've heard about the quality and wearability of these popular headphones, but I hadn't had the chance to try them.  When they arrived, I had to celebrate with an unboxing. . .

AfterShokz Aeropex Headphones Review 

First things first, these headphones look awesome, right?!?  They come in a variety of colors, but I selected the gray ones since they would go with everything.  (Y'all know how I love to wear costumes for my runDisney races. . .no clashing please!) But these headphones are more than just a pretty picture.  The functionality is perfect for runners.

First, Aeropex is an incredibly lightweight option for athletes.  You may think Apple AirPods would be more comfortable as they just sit in your ears, but I always worry that they will fall out while exercising.  Those concerns are gone when it comes to these headphones - both lightweight and secure.  Safety is another big concern when running, walking, or working out.  The bone conduction design of AfterShokz Aeropex means that you are still able to hear what's happening around you while also jamming out to your favorite tunes.  

Speaking of your favorite tunes, the sound quality is phenomenal.  It really is something that you have to hear to believe - open air headphones can be amazing.  I'm not going to pretend to understand the science of bone conduction, but I was skeptical about the sound quality going in and have been pleasantly surprised as I wore them.

AfterShokz Aeropex are easy to set-up and a great addition to any workout regimen.  I still pinch myself that I was lucky enough to win these during a Twitter chat. . .and that Disney Cruise Line worked with me to find them and ship them back to me when I lost the on the Disney Dream in January, but that's a different story for a different day!
