Hersheypark 2021 - The BEST Reasons to Visit This Year

Family theme parks have been some of our favorite destinations over the years and we missed visiting them last summer.  Now, we are ready to get back to the sun, fun, and, in the case of Hersheypark, the chocolate!  Last summer, Hersheypark unleashed a new rollercoaster, Candymonium, and a new entrance to the park.  This year, they will be releasing some new dining experiences and they sound fantastic!  There's a lot to love about a visit to Hersheypark and here are some of the things I'm looking forward to most this year!

New Dining Experiences at Hersheypark

Milton's Ice Cream Parlor - Image from Hersheypark

New is always exciting and Hersheypark has done a great job adding attractions, restaurants, and more over the past few years.  This season, guests can enjoy new dining experiences as part of Hershey's Chocolatetown.  This spring, Milton's Ice Cream Parlor and The Sweeterie Confectionary Kitchen will both open on April 2nd.  Milton's Ice Cream Parlor has both sweet and savory options covered with local custom and King Size Sundaes as well as options like grilled cheese, shareable buckets of fries, and Chicken N Waffles.  The Sweeterie Confectionary Kitchen is the ultimate candy kitchen with chocolate dipped treats and grab-and-go sweets to enjoy around the park.  You can find more details about menus for these new dining options here.

Memorial Day weekend will bring another new dining addition with The Chocolatier Restaurant, Bar + Patio opening just in time for summer.  Stay tuned for more sweet details about this restaurant to round out the dining options in Hershey's Chocolatetown.

Roller Coasters Galore!

Beginning with Springtime in the Park (weather permitting) and continuing throughout the summer and fall, guests can enjoy some of the best variety of roller coasters on the East Coast.  I've spent my entire life visiting Hersheypark and remember my very first coaster ride on sooper dooper Looper.  My kids have enjoyed The Comet, Cocoa Cruiser, and Trailblazer at their younger ages, but my nine year old is excited this year to finally try some of the bigger coasters and I can't wait to introduce him to some of my favorites like Lightning Racer and Wildcat.  If you're looking for big thrills, my two favorite coasters in the park have traditionally been Fahrenheit and Storm Runner with big drops and fast speeds.  I didn't have a chance to visit Hersheypark last year and experience the all-new Candymonium, but I can't wait!

Added Value to Your Visit

A ticket to Hersheypark means more than just access to some of the best roller coasters and shows around, but so much more.  During Springtime in the Park, and throughout the entire year, guests of Hersheypark can access ZooAmerica directly through an entrance inside the park and included with your admission to Hersheypark!  I also can't visit Hersheypark without making a stop at Hershey's Chocolate World.  There is a really cute free ride inside which takes you on a musical and immersive look at how Hershey's makes the best chocolate in the world!

Come back in the summer and enjoy The Boardwalk - Hersheypark's very own waterpark!  With a lazy river, water slides, buckets of fun, AND a water roller coaster, you can almost plan an entire day just in this area.
